Echo Trails
An echo trail text effect: the word swoops along a curved path, leaving a long trail of rainbow echo copies that collapse into a rotating color extrusion. A favorite of music promos, retro posters and playful social titles.

Tool-agnosticAnimate [TEXT] in a heavy retro italic display face, deep ink color, on warm cream paper. The word swoops into frame along a big S-shaped curve, tilting with its direction of travel, and leaves a long trail of about twenty echo copies behind it; each echo is a solid color stepping through a gradient of coral, amber, yellow, green, teal, blue and violet, older echoes slowly fading. The word settles in the center and hovers in a small circle; the echoes collapse into a tight stack offset a few pixels each, reading as a rainbow 3D extrusion whose direction slowly rotates. Then the word accelerates out of the top-right corner, dragging the whole trail with it, and swoops back in from the bottom-left to loop.
