Compression Crunch
A compression-artifact text effect: as quality drops, the word collapses into 8×8 blocks, ringing halos, smeared color and posterized gradients, then recovers. Captures the deep-fried web-image look for memes, internet culture and lo-fi edits.
Prompt · replace [TEXT]
Tool-agnosticShow [TEXT] being crushed by heavy lossy image compression. Start with a crisp, glossy image: [TEXT] in a chunky rounded display face, white with a thick black outline and a hot pink drop shadow, over a smooth royal-blue to cyan gradient with a soft magenta glow, a pale yellow sun and thin white rings. A small dark quality slider at the bottom slides from 92 down to 3 in quick steps while a file-size readout shrinks; at each step the image re-compresses: an 8×8 block grid appears, letter edges ring with noisy halos, color smears into coarse blocks and gradients posterize into bands. Hold the crunchy look, then step the slider back up until the image is clean. Slow push-in throughout; loop every 8 seconds.
