Photocopy Degradation
A copy of a copy of a copy: each pass of the scanner lamp makes the word blacker, rougher and more skewed, with toner speckle, drum streaks and dark edges. Echoes punk zines and DIY flyers; good for posters, band visuals and gritty editorial.
Prompt · replace [TEXT]
Tool-agnosticShow [TEXT] degrading through repeated photocopying. Lay it out like a DIY flyer on off-white paper: [TEXT] large in a fat high-contrast serif, a thick rule above it and two blocks of small text lines below. Every second a pale green scanner lamp sweeps left to right and leaves behind the next generation: harsher black-and-white contrast, hairlines breaking up, heavy strokes bloating, more toner speckle in the white areas, faint vertical streaks from a dirty drum, darker gray borders creeping in from the edges, and the whole page rotated and nudged a little further each time. After five generations sweep in a clean original and loop every 8 seconds.
