Punk Zine Cut-up
Ransom-style letters cut from different typefaces get slapped onto a photocopied page one by one. Marker scribbles, tape, a halftone cut-out and an acid-green accent boil at 8 fps. Rooted in 70s–80s punk zines and DIY flyers.
Prompt · replace [TEXT]
Tool-agnosticMake [TEXT] as a punk zine cut-up collage. Each letter is cut out of a different source (fat serif, condensed sans, typewriter, blackletter, italic, block letters), mixing upper and lower case, black on white or white on black, pasted on its own rough paper scrap at a different angle. Treat everything as a harsh black-and-white photocopy: toner speckle, faint drum streaks, dark edges around every cut-out, a coarse halftone cut-out and strips of typewritten text. Use exactly one fluorescent accent, acid green, on one scrap and a highlighter strip. Animate at a choppy 8 fps: letters slap down one per frame with a small overshoot, marker scribbles, an arrow and an underline draw on, everything boils by a pixel or two, a hard cut re-pastes the letters at new angles, then they are ripped off one by one.
